WORKSHOPS
INTENSIVE SUMMER CLASSES December 2010 - Dates will be announced later in the year!
Intensive classes are the perfect
way to learn a language. Longer class hours and shorter breaks between
lessons will help you to retain structures and vocabulary much better.
We will need less time for revision and have more time for speaking and
fun. Comedy, songs and cartoons will be part of the teaching.

WORKSHOP Kreatives Deutschlernen für Kinder
We offer creative German courses for children from 6 to 13. Next classes: Holiday class: Saturday, 21 August, 3-6pm $45. Please confirm the dates with us as they are subject to change.
These courses are suitable for bilingual children, e.g. children with
German speaking background, or children who spent a long time in a
German speaking country and want to keep up and improve their German. We have one group for 5-7 year old and another for 8-11 year old children.
The program is developed by qualified German teachers
and focuses on all four strands of language learning: reading, writing,
listening and speaking.
The 3 to 4 hour long courses usually follow a
theme for a number of sessions. We started by exploring
Hundertwasser and designed our own lanterns. We learn new songs
(traditional children songs as well as modern style songs, like RAP), poems, fictional stories and a variety of non-fictional text types.
We performed a quiz show at the
German Fest at the Immigration Museum in Melbourne.
SBS Radio broadcasted a radio play written and performed by our
students.
Kids worked on their own raps and presented them. 2010 we are making a
film that will be presented at theVictorian school film festival!
Students perform a wide variety of tasks, e.g. they develop their own stories, poems and songs.
Future plans are small stage performances, short films, comics, puppet plays etc.
